The Roussel Inox manufacturing secret? Maybe it lies in the unbending attachment to family tradition.
It all started with Robert Roussel, a solid patriarch of uncomprimising temperament.

Robert Roussel took over the metalworking workshop in Millau (Aveyron, southern France) where he started as an apprentice.
His appetite for work went hand in hand with his insatiable curiosity for technical innovation. So when a cheesemaker customer once placed a specific order with him, he decided to learn all about cheesemaking techniques.
In 1968, he set up his company in Creissels (Aveyron) in what was to become a business park.
Cheesemaking vats, draining belts, pricking machines… the Roussel workshops were soon brimming with ingenuity in order to meet the expectations of companies, both small and industrial, not only in France but also worldwide.
In 1991, he handed over the reins of the company to his children Françoise and Alain. An automation design department was added to the company which moved up from a cottage industry to become a more structured organisation, with the setting up of a manufacturing process.
During the mid-1990s, Roussel Inox further developed its speciality from blue-veined cheeses to the production of material for pressed cheeses: cheesemaking vats, moulding devices, …
In 1998, the Creissels production floor was extended. Two years later, the first Roussel Inox subsidiary was founded in Pau: From Inox, targeting the farmhouse cheesemakers in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques area.
Roussel Inox further strengthened its sales development abroad: firstly in Argentina and Canada, and later, from 2015 onwards, into Italy, Spain and Germany, as well as Central and Eastern Europe.
Roussel Inox is managed by Alain Roussel and Véronique Fabre, the founder’s granddaughter, maintaining the same family spirit and business spirit!
